What Is an AeroPress
The original AeroPress was designed to use paper filters, but AeroPress coffee lovers improved the method by using disc-shaped thin metal filters. The paper filter method produces a cleaner cup, with less coffee oils. The disk filter method produces a thicker coffee, richer, and with more body, similar to espresso.
AeroPress looks like a very large syringe, consisting of two nesting cylinders. The inside cylinder has an airtight seal and functions as the plunger, pushing the coffee through the outside cylinder. The outside cylinder functions as the brewing chamber and it has volume markings to help with brewing measurements. Both cylinders are made of polypropylene.
